Base - Manhattan Place

The hotel was ideally situated close to lots of restaurants, shopping and the city centre. It was easy to find, very spacious, modern and nicely furnished and had everything needed except a corkscrew!! There was late night security and although it was close to the cty centre, it was quiet.

- Poor communication - the company did not inform me that I had to arrange a late pick up for keys though they said that they did try to ring my home on the day that I was travelling to Liverpool! There was no-one around to inform me of how to get keys though I eventually found a telephone number on an office window. Had to wait around for the courier and then was informed that I had to pay £20 for that and £40 for car parking for two days. Apartment is in a good location, was nicely furnished and thankfully clean and tidy though very noisey at night.

Very poor indeed! We stayed in Apartment 41 which was supposed to be the Penthouse which slept 6. Late checkin required and we were met with our keys at 21:00 Hrs, told we had to pay £20 for late key pick up and £20 per car parking space. Advised of which space to park in and car was nearly clamped!
Apartment 41 was not cleaned prior to our arrival, my bed had been slept in, 5 half eaten kebabs in a cupboard under the sink and a pizza growing nice bacteria in the oven which looked like it had been there for days.
Smashed sink in main bathroom, badly damaged blinds on windows and no sheets or pillows and covers for sofa beds.
Woken 4 times during the night by someone banging on the main door to the apartment, loads of noise for which we were blamed!
Complained on departure took agent up to apartment to show her the mess, she assured us she would call that day and arrange refund, 2 days later no call.
