Felbrigg Lodge

AYLMERTON, NORWICH

Felbridge Lodge enjoys an unrivalled position, surrounded by six acres of grounds allowing for total privacy and seclusion. Although a bed and breakfast in essence, this is not strictly true – it is far too luxurious! Compromised of a series of beautiful and intimate suites, filled with personal touches and thoughtful details – ideal for either business or pleasure. The rooms, which are all at ground level and are situated around the grounds to take greatest advantage of the views and landscape, preserving a sense of peace and tranquillity. All have been sumptuously furnished and decorated with flair and imagination and have luxurious en-suite bathrooms. Guests have free use of the indoor heated pool and small gym. Spoil yourselves with traditional afternoon tea (sandwiches homemade scones and individual cakes) served in your suite and later book to eat in the Ivy restaurant where the menu changes daily and is freshly prepared using local seasonal produce. If you are looking for somewhere presumptious you will not be happy here. We like our guests to feel at home , kick back and relax and enjoy our friendly service. We have been hoteliers for 30 years so we understand how important it is to feel you are welcome and respected.

The room itself was good but we found the bed very uncomfortable

I booked last minute and got a cracking deal of just £95 on the Bramble suite, without this deal the Felbrigg would have been outside my price range. The room and decor was of a much higher standard than expected. The 3 course evening meal was a little expensive at first sight but the quality and portions ultimately made it worth the money. The owner, Deedee and her husband were first class and so friendly, it made eating in the restaurant such a pleasant experience. I didn't get the opportunity to use the pool on this visit but it did look very nice. I will definately stay again if the price is right.

Excellent hotel & facilties. Very friendly owners, who drove us to a local restuarant and collected us later that evening. Very peaceful retreat ideal for relaxing. Quality of room mark would have been 6 but room needed a few repairs to furnishings. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, and would definitly return for another visit.
