The purpose of our stay was so that my husband and I could celebrate his birthday and not have to worry about a long jouney home. Given the cost of a 1 night stay I dont belive we had value for money or good service. Charging guests £5 to park in the hotel car park is a really bad idea.

We arrived at 3pm prompt: after much ringing round by the staff, we were advised our room was not ready and that a ground floor room was available if we wanted - we declined this offer, returned our luggage to our car and went into Lincoln for a couple of hours.
We eventaully checked in around 5 o'clock. I also arranged to have our breakfast in our room this was another additional cost of £4.50 for room service. This would have been fine had I not had to ring to ask for some cutlery, a further call for the milk and only because I got fed up of phoning did I not ring a third time to request the condiments!

Stayed twice before and had two good nights sleep, this time however there was a droning noise all through the night like an air conditioning unit or a heater but it wasn't anything in our room it sounded like outside the window or next door. I hardly slept at all. This time we was at the back of the hotel with a superb view of the car park!! I think for this visit it was a waste of £99.50.
Would stay again but not at the back.

Standard Holiday Inn rooms I suppose, clean, tidy, functional. Wouldn't want to pay for it myself I suppose but no complaints with room or hotel.
