Tastefully decorated , The Kensington has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme. The hotel has a licensed bar and a popular restaurant. All of the 26 bedrooms have en suite facilities and they are individually designed and furnished to give maximum comfort. Many rooms have superb sea views. All bedrooms have TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. All room rates include a superb full English breakfast. All public areas on the ground floor have complimentary wifi access as do the premier/seaview bedrooms. This hotel is in an ideal position on the seafront just a short stroll from the Britannia pier. We booked a family room for 3 on the ground floor (myself, husband and our 13 year old daughter) and a family room for 4 upstairs for our friends (who have a 13 year old daughter and a son who's 7).
I use a wheelchair and found the hotel was very wheelchair friendly: - ground floor family bedroom had enough room to manouvre wheelchair although not in the shower room/toilet (which was fine for me), a lift big enough for me in my chair as well as my husband standing, a ramp to the front door and a level surface through the ground floor reception, dining room, bar area.
We all had full english breakfast which was very tasty and generous. Unfortunately we did not get to try evening dinner as it was too late for us as we were going out for the evening.
We were really pleased with our stay and the staff were very friendly and nothing semed too much to ask, we all felt very welcome and will definately book here again, hopefully next year.

draind kept backing up in the room giving off a dredfull smell, decore was poor ie. holes in wall on the plus side staff were helpfull and freindly , hotel advertised as 4 star would just about give it 2.

Brill hotel would definatly stay again had the family room very clean and relaxing. Remember you get what you pay for want a cheap hotel then expect less, this hotel is a good price for a good hotle..
