A nice location and easy to find. we only had one set of towels in our room when we arrived, and asked for some at reception. We were told they would be sent up but they never arrived. Room was on the small side but comfortable. We ate in the Restaurant and it was reasonable. Small, but well equipped gym. Second night we arrived back at about 9.30 to find the place in darkness and all the doors locked. when we rang the bell someone shouted down from an upstairs window and let us in through the fire escape door when we identified ourselves. Friendly staff, if disorganised. A decent pub 5 minutes walk down hill (Robin Hood). Would give it another go next time Bury play Accrington. |

Sadly, whilst this hotel looked ideal on paper, the reality was a bit different. The staff were pleasant, but rushed. We struggled with very hard beds and noisy neighbours, the result being that we didn't get a refreshing night's sleep. The bathroom looked good and was clean, but the power shower had very little pressure so my partner went without. The only possible redeeming feature was the hotel breakfast, but even that was a disappointment - cereal, cold toast and an unappetising bacon sandwich. I truly hope this was a just a one-off, but I shan't be returning. |
