Nice quiet hotel with friendly reception staff. Only things we could fault were: No individual safe in bedroom. No fridge in bedroom. No lift but willing assistance with bags etc. Good factors were: Ironing facilities in room. Easy access to hotel. Good food and service. All in all, a pleasant place to stay. "Late Rooms" arrangements and service were first class too, thank you. |

I had the breakfast which I thought was excellent and the service was very good. The room needed updating a bit as the lighting they used made it seem a bit gloomy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location too a 10 min walk into town. |

There was the usual problem for single travellers about the size of the room; single en suite rooms in older hotels are often very small, having squeezed the facilities into an existing room, and this was no exception. However, the staff were very friendly and efficient, the food at dinner good, breakfast less so (why do so many otherwise good kithens produce rubber scrambled eggs?) and it was a perfectly acceptable stay. |
