I am sorry to say this as I was very much looking forward to my stay here. I arrived on a very cold night to no heating in the room, no fire lit in the bar area so the whole place was very cold and I could not heat up all night. The room could be nice if they replace the awful carpet as the furniture and style is nice. Bathroom also need replaced. I had to wait 20 minutes to even place an order for dinner which is a long time as a single person sitting in a dining room. Then 40 minutes in total for my main course to arrive, but which time a table of four had ordered, had their starter and were onto their main course! I appreciate there is a dining experience to be had but when you are dining on your own and freezing it was far too slow. A good nights sleep and very nice breakfast served by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. |

The food was superb, enthusiastically and knowledgeably served. The rooms are individually styled a welcome relief from the monotony of chain hotels. The only dissapointment was the shower which was not a power shower. |
