By Road: From the Northwest, approach via the M56 & M53 then follow the A483 towards Wrexham and then follow the A5 into Llangollen town itself. Once through the edge of the town centre, continue on the A5 and the Wild Pheasant is located less than a mile on the left hand side set in landscaped grounds with ample free car parking. By Rail: Llangollens nearest regional station is Ruabon which is served by Arriva Trains Wales from Chester station. Regular services and through trains are available from Chester to both Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool. From Ruabon railway station, a bus service provided by Arriva Cymru, service X94, passes the hotel on the main A5 road. By Air: Both Manchester International Airport and the Liverpool John Lennon Airport are within an hours drive of the hotel with car hire available at the airport. Alternatively, take a taxi or shuttle to the respective railway station and follow the rail information in the paragraph above.

we booked 1 night for our 35 wedding anniv,on arriving we were pleased with look of hotel.
staff /reception very nice especialy the girl on reception from billinge.but the room was freezing cold, and the bar lounge was freezing their was no heating turned on,
Also when we went to use the spa only half of it was working and their was already some couples there so there wasnt enough room to use it and relax so we were very disappointed.
After a freezing night in room and no sleep,breakfast was also cold and had probably been left standing .since we came home we have both been ill with flu and are still off work now
So it was a very disappointing anniversary for us .

Room was adequate although the bathroom could do with redecorating curtains looked very grubby. Food was very good quality and well made but service left a lot to be desired. In particular the foreign waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Check out was disaster as they did not seem to know how many nights we had stayed and overcharged us.

although the location and room was really nice- I was unable to use the spa etc as the electricit had been down all day - no compensation was offered at all. in addition, at 7.30am the following morning the shower was icy] cold - no hot water at all !!!- it did wake me up though !!!

We only stayed for one night so as we only booked a standard room we decided to upgrade and for an extra £20 we were upgraded to one of the new Suites which was very spacious and modern. Free use of the spa was a much needed treat, the evening meal was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpfull.
Very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
