A happy atmosphere is apparent to the 'Old Manse'; hoteliers willing to engage with guests - nothing is too much trouble. |

Directions from North incorrect- only 0.5 m along Middleton Road and not 1.5 as shown. Room was rather disappointing for the cost but was quite comfortable. The food was just magnificent and the owners were very welcoming and ready to do anything to make the stay enjoyable. We would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone visitin the area and would look forward to returning ourselves!! |

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. We had breakfast there which was very nice in lovely dining room. Two dogs (very well behaved) at the hotel, a dachshund and doberman. The staff said they would be happy for us to take our mini dachshund if we stayed again. I would rate it above a 2 star. |

Very pleasant & friendly and good value for money. Quite a trip from York where my meetings were held hence the price and certainly cheaper to drive for half an hour or so for me anyway |
