Cafe, internet, cheap pizzeria, great chinese food, and Metro just down the road - very easy to get to major sites. The area is nothing special, but it's safe. The transaction with the hotel was very easy and Mauro is very friendly and helpful. |

It was difficult to sleep there as the room was very noisy due to it facing the main road with heavy traffic and to guests making lots of noise when coming in and out throughout the night. We had to move to another hotel after three sleepless nights. The manager, however, was very friendly and understanding. The use of free Wi-Fi internet was a great bonus. |

This place was a total dive. The room looked nothing like the picture on the website. The floor was covered in a carpeting that was so dirty and sticky that I didn't want to walk on it with bare feet. We were put in one room, then immediately moved to another in a different building then the next night moved yet again. The fixtures in the bathroom were only moderately clean. There was no toilet paper on the first morning. There were clean towels. The sheets were clean, but the beds sagged. The agent was helpful in giving instructions on getting to the sites. |

This was more of a flat share than a hotel. One website advertised this as 3* but I really do not think it is! THe rooms are clean as is the shared bathroom. It is on the 6th floor of a building about 10-15 minutes walk from the Termini. basically, there are 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom in this 'appartment'. You have to hold the shower head over you since there is no stand for it but there is good water pressure and it is hot. I think the owner may live in a building on the opposite side of the street. I would recommend this only if you wanted a private room and there was more than one of you! Otherwise, go for a hostel or pay a bit more for a hotel! |

It seemed that we stayed in this accommodation during the wrong time of the year, unfortunately. I agree with the previous commentor that it is more like a shared flat. The room was big and bright, although it was basic and the carpet was a bit worn. I guess it would be a very pleasant room in winter, but during the Roman summer it was very hot as the window happened to face the afternoon sun. (That the temperature in Rome peaked at 32C when we were there didn't help either.) Mauro was very helpful and brought us an electric fan (not a standard equipment in the room -- looked like he borrowed from someone else) which made the stay bearable. He also gave a very thourough orientation. The shared bathroom was very basic, and the toilet was slightly tricky to flush (or more precisely to reset after flushing; but perhaps it was just me.) Location is quite a strenght: it is within a short walking distace from both St John in Lateran on one direction, and Sta Maria Maggiore on the other, with the Colosseum and the Termini station just a bit further. |
