Location was wonderful. A bit off the beaten track but not too hard to find. Room was great with great views of Dartmoor. Breakfast was exceptional. Only complaint was the central heating system kept firing up every few minutes through the night, which kept me awake. So I didn't come away quite as refreshed as I had hoped. |

Stunning location and room, and very friendly staff. Considering their advertising, the food was a disappointment - especially the presentation. Jars (undecanted) of Tesco's preserves - albeit their Finest - and unappealingly presented bread. See-through cafetiere coffee and only one croissant to share between us on the final morning. OK, but perhaps not 4 star |

The directions to the hotel were great, considering it was in a remote location. We did have a slight delay upon arrival as the message we left for the owners, did not reach them, but it was ok in the end. We had a wonderful stay and the room was beautiful as were the views, even though it was rainy weather! Very romantic! Thank you for a lovely stay!! |

It was extremely difficult to find this hotel, even the sat nav gave up! However once there it is a gem, the views are breathtaking. The room although not massive was spotlessly clean, all linen exceptional, bathroom brilliant, probably the nicest cleanest hotel we have stayed in, in this country. Breakfast was good, a bit disapointed with the bacon, there was no white bread and query as to wether you could have your eggs poached! but this was minor stuff. If you want a get away from it all break, this is your place. I am sure we will return one day. |

We only stayed for one night but we were very comfortable. As the hotel is some way from the main road it was very peaceful and relaxing. |
