HOTEL EDOUARD VI

The location is excellent. Right at the Montparnasse train and metro station. The metro is right outside your door. And the location is very central. My room was great. It was quiet (which I requested) as it faced the intererior part of the hotel. The bathroom was spacious, modern and clean and I had a double bed. Not a huge room but by Paris standards, quite large. I got a great deal on laterooms. com. I only had breadfast once there but it was in the lower level, charming breakfast room that seemed like an old cave...and the service and breakfast selection were very good. The late night clerks were wonderful and very helpful. I think for a three star hotel, however, they need to repaint the halls on each floor. I would definitely stay ther again.

The hotels location is great for restaurants and traveling on the train or metro. The bathroom was gorgeous and much better than we expected. One major bad point was the size of the room, it was like a box! Walked through the door then there was the bed and a very small spac either side to get in and out and that was it! The lift is a bit scary too as it sways and creaks all the time and as we were on the sixth floor we didn't really have much choice but to deal with it. We didn't have the breakfast as 9Euro seemed expensive when you could by a fresh Choc au Pain round the corner for 1Euro. Would reccommend the hotel purely for its convenient location.

This hotel is very close to Gare Montparnasse. The hotel is in the middle of a refurb - the rooms and bathrooms are new but the hallways could do with decorating. Paid 120€ (exc breakfast) which I think was a reasonable price.
