When we arrived at the hotel we were given a key to room 303, when we got into the room and put our bags down it became quite apparent that someone was already staying in this room, as there were clothes in the wardrobe and a crossword on the bed!! Luckily the person wasn't in the room at the time or this could have proven quite embarrassing for both parties!! We went downstairs and informed the reception staff who seemed non-plussed, they told us they had moved another guest out of a room into that one and had forgotten to put it into the system!! They then put us in the room they had moved that guest out of(room 202) as it was all they had, naturally we wondered what was wrong with this room! The customer service was very poor! My husband and I felt they should have addressed what could have been an embarrasing incident much better. |

Excellent hotel, I will definitely be coming back! My only comment would be that it was noisy as it faced out onto the main street and it was a Friday night! However, the hotel itself, and particularly the breakfast made up for it! |

Lovely hotel - full of character. Initial room allocated was very damp and the wall beside the window was wet. Were immediately upgraded to another room which was gorgeous. Excellent breakfast. Good lively bar but drinks are pricey. |
