The Applegarth is a family run Hotel set in the heart of Windermere.
We have 18 individually designed rooms, many with splendid views towards Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Relax in our oak panelled lounge bar before having dinner in our beautiful conservatory restaurant.We have private parking and residents have free use of the country club nearby.
Cruise on the hotels privately owned luxury motor yacht exclusive to hotel guests.

Staff were lovely throughout our stay, very friendly and accommodating. Room was brillliant with great views and comfy bed. Breakfast and evening meal also great. Will be returning very soon.

I had a wonderful stay at Applegarth. It is a beautiful old building, only a short walk from the railway station, and my room was a delight. The food was delicious, and everyone there so very friendly.

Lovely hotel. Obviously recently refurbished. Nice classic decor without being stuffy. Staff all very helpful. Delicious food in the Restaurant. Room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is small enough to get to know the staff but large enough to offer more than a guest house. Overall a great place to stay to explore the hills. Great find!
