Food and customer service both good, the quality and cleanliness high. For a high quality hotel in such marvellous countryside, even if you are allergic to golf (as I am - if you play, the tee is outside the hotel front door!), this really is quite good value. It is signposted from Plympton, though the one-way system makes getting to it a little long winded, and the lane that the hotel is on has many single width parts so go slow - the locals drive fast! A long walk further up the lane/hill takes you to some forest tracks, woodland paths and the remains of an iron age hill fort at Boringdon Camp. Very pleasant. Would stay again. |

Hotel was beautiful, in a fantastic setting. Our room was on the ground floor with fabulous views. Food and service was excellent. Only downsight was the bed in our room - it was very hard and we both struggled to sleep well on it. Not good for bad backs! Apart from that we had a fantastic stay and would definitely go again. |

Restaurant food was not up to scratch hence low mark on hotel food. However the bar food was good value for money. We were moved to the Elfordleigh Suite which was fantastic. The hotel is in a lovely setting and perfect for any golfers. Overall a lovely place and we'd go again but probably would not use the restaurant. |

By any measure , this is a splendid hotel. The standard prices are far too costly for us but with Late Rooms.com we had 3 nights B&B for £203 ,including safe free car parking right outside the front of the hotel, which made the stay excellent value for money. |
