The hotel was easy to find and, situated in the centre of Plymouth. Upon arrival we were informed that the car park was full and, that we should park in the supermarket car park next door. The parking was free until 9.30 am the following morning and, then we were told that we may be able to park in the hotel car park although the receptionist wasn't sure who would be checking out so couldn't guarantee us a space. We managed to obtain a space in the hotel car park at 9.35 am and, as we were attending a wedding at midday asked if we could have the space when we returned. The receptionist said that she couldn't guarantee a space when we returned. At breakfast we were advised by another staff member to leave our car in the car park and use a taxi to attend the wedding. As there was quite a number of us experiencing the same difficulties with the parking we did use taxis to attend the wedding and, left our cars in the car park until we checked out the next day. The room was clean and, comfortable although the hotel bar was very expensive. |

It's very noisy (traffic) as it's just off a large round about. They warn you not open the bath room door when someone is having a shower as this will activate the fire alarm. The bath room is grubby, with a filthy rubber mat to put in the bath. There's no mini-bar, room service after hours consists of two options one of which is Heinz Tomato Soup (on the menu as such), staff is friendly but incredibly inefficient. It can take you half an hour to check out (it did with me). All of this you could happily forget if the hotel wouldn't claim to be a 4 star hotel and charge accordingly. |
