The hotel is ideally situated for a short break in Dublin, being easy walking distance from the airport bus stop, O'Connell streets shops and Temple Meads bars. It is a lovely old building that has been restored and furnished to suit its period. The breakfasts are huge and the staff were friendly and very helpful BUT, and it is a big one, if you are neither a heavy sleeper nor used to traffic noise then make sure that you request a room at the back of the hotel. The rooms facing the road are very nice with huge sash windows and a lovely view of the church opposite but the noise of the traffic is constant throughout the night. We had our worst nights sleep ever despite having arrived very late and being very tired. We moved rooms the following day and had a quiet room at the back of the hotel. It did not have a wonderful view but it was a bigger room with a double and a single bed. |

I was very impressed with the overall quality and location. I had a great room and view of the church. It was loud during the day due to traffic, but not a problem. The breakfast was outstanding and freshly prepared. The pub was very casual and family friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend. |
