Rooms facing main road were very noisey.

I got a double room for £60 due to booking in advance through laterooms.com.
For the money I think it was fine. The breakfast wasn't brilliant, but what I expected for the money. The room was fine, clean and plenty of space.
The main problem was the whole hotel was very warm, particulalrly my room. Even if you turn off the radiators, the hot water pipes run through the room in the hotel, so heat is always been pumped in to the room, it wasn't unberable with the windows open and radiator turned off. But it was very warm.
All in all, I think it was fine for the money. But you can get a travel lodge for the same money, which is porbably where I would stay again.

the receptionist when we booked in failed to tell us anything about the hotel re times of breakfast or where it took place or The bar staff were non existent and had to ring a number and we were told that a member of staff would be found! She was out the back talking all the time!
The breakfast was very poor and the hot buffet looked very unappetising as had not been
looked after. We had to ask if they did any other sort of eggs as the scrambled eggs looked
disgusting. The staff did not seem as if they were at all interested in providing a service or putting themselves out. Again we had to ask for butter for the toast they provided - they didnt
check anything or keep the food tables nicely presented. ON the whole a very disappointing experience which could easily be remedied by giving the staff some customer service training.

The rooms were very good but a little faded. But when leaving the receptionist told us the hotel is being re-furbished so it should be first class. Nice ambience and nice position.

Quiet hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast could have been better. Eggs and toast not good but food ordered in bar at night was fine.
