The hotel is in an excellent location close to tube and overland rain stations. The attached pub is good and drinks are reasonably priced, I did not try the food on this occasion as this is a nice Indian round the corner. The room I had was spacious and well appointed, complete with LCD TV and another TV in the bathroom. There was a large shower cubicle and a very powerful shower that I didn't want to get out of! The soundproofing was good and I didn't hear any noise from other rooms, ensuring a good nights rest. I received an excellent discount through LateRooms for this hotel so the price was good, although I do think the regular room rate is on the high side. All-in-all an excellent hotel which I will look forward to staying in again sometime in the future. |

A pleasent stay at the hotel, only down side was there was some noise outside our room (4th Floor and on a Friday!) from the street/ pub next door but not enough to cause a problem, once the pub closed it was fine for the rest of the night and morning. Rooms were clean, tidy, well presented and of a good size. The hotel was good for what we needed as we only used it to sleep in and get a cooked breakfast, so can not comment on the restaurant or facilities etc... Would stay there again and happy to recommend the room and service we were given. |

We stayed at The Chamberlain on a Saturday night, as it was a good deal and appeared to be quite central. We were really pleased at how easy it was to find from both Tower Hill tube and also from Aldgate tube. It was an easy stroll to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and we had a pleasant walk along the Thames for several hours allowing us to see lots of sights. It's convenience for the tube (and buses) meant that it was possible to get to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Oxford Street etc easily. The hotel staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful toward us during our brief stay - and even provided us with some foil to wrap a few breakfast rolls up in to take out for a picnic in Hyde Park when we were cheeky enough to ask! Breakfast was served until 11am which allowed us a lie in after having had a late night going to a West End show and dinner. We will definately be looking out for future offers to stay here through Late Rooms. |
