Hotel was lovely, great location and great inside. Staff were friendly - if a tiny bit slow on reception on arrival - but there was a wedding taking place so this may have accounted for it. Rood was fab (executive room) - no issues at all - except no air-con and it was a bit warm but as this isnt often an issue in Scotland then we wont worry too much about it. Only meal we had was breakfast which was nice - fairly standard hotel buffet - but nice. Would recommend to anyone. |

I would definitely stay here again but I would find somewhere else to eat. We ate there on a Sunday night and the only choice on the menu was leftovers from their Sunday carvery, micro waved and pretty inedible , very disappointing. |

Food Outstanding quality and Quantity. Staff friendly and informative. Spectacular views across the Firth of Forth. My husband mentioned it was my birthday when booking in and I was wished a happy birthday by other staff later in the evening. This attention to detail makes a stay memorable and shows the staff and management are doing something right. There was a party from India with special dietary needs and the kitchen pulled out the stops for them. The complementary house wine left in our room as a welcome along with a fruit basket was so good we drank two more bottles in the Restaurant |

This should be an excellent hotel overlooking the Forth Bridge and river Forth. Standard of service was poor and meals when eventually served, were cold. Took 30 minutes to serve a plate of soup. Complained to manager who was quite aloof and eventually offerd a free drink via one of the waiters. Remnants of room service meals were left uncollected in the corridors. Staff appear to be less than passionate about their work and it concerns me what visitors from other countries must think. Time for a clear out at this establishment. |
