My friend and I stayed as part of a group of Ramblers over three days. The twin room was adequate for our purpose. Hotel spotlessly clean throughout. Staff very polite, helpful and well trained and food wonderful served in a lovely restaurant. Comfortable lounges in both hotel and Lodge adjoining where our room was situated. We would stay there again and were the envy of our walking group when discussing menus as we were scattered around in different locations. |

Room furniture shabby and dated, although bedding etc modern and clean. Bathroom wallpaper heavily stained - obviously damp or leak. Felt it was overpriced for what was provided. Particularly annoyed to see sign outside on Sunday night offering rooms at two thirds of the price we were paying. Many hotels offer rooms cheaper on Sunday evening as there is less demand - we think the hotel should do this for nights booked in advance as well as for casual travellers. |
