The Inn with the Well,there are few such examples in Britain.Nestling in the beautiful Og Valley in the heart of the Wiltshire Downs close to Marlborough and the Ridgeway Path - Europes oldest highway. The Inn with the Well has been a country Inn for over 300 years. Close to Avebury and Silbury Hill. Area famous for corncircles.Excellent facilities offering superb comfort in a newly constructed building adjacent to the Inn. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, TV with free sat, Iron, Ironing board, free Wi-Fi,Hairdryer and Tea and Coffee making facilities.
Please note the Inn is closed on Sunday evenings.

Off junction 15 of the M4 take the road (A346)towards Marlborough. After 3 miles on the left is Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. Immediately after the club is a slip road .Take it . At the bottom turn right and the Inn is after the bridge on the left.From Marlborough take the A346 towards Swindon. After 4 miles a sign on the right points to a road towards Ogbourne St. George. Take it. This road leads to The Inn with the Well which is on the right before the bridge.

This is an excellent pub hotel. close to Marlborough. Great atmosphere, good room and free WiFi!

Room was fairly old and in need of renovation to be considered for higher rating. Some noise from outdoor eating area in evening. Mike was an attentive host

Bathroom smelt 'musty' and could have doon with being aired out.
Television signal not very good.
Excellent customer service however, and the owners are very friendly. All in all a good stay and would recommend.

Not a very friendly welcome. My room was quite dusty, and the soundproofing is very poor. The food was OK, and the room good value for the money with a nice bathroom. Books available to borrow - very nice. And the well in the restaurant is fascinating.

Don't be put off by the outside appearance, room was large and well presented, small things like faded duvet cover and washed out net curtains are off putting but reflect the price paid. Ate in the pub and the food was reasonable, Landlord friendly. Good breakfast. Would stay again.
