We read other reviews which were not great before booking. But excellent location for visit to Tatton Park and low price for a couple of nights persuaded my wife and I to give it a try. Glad we did, Staff friendly and helpful. Room dated but very clean ensuite bathroom and clean towels both days. We were tired after spending two nights in lakes so first night ate in hotel which was fine and really good value. We had read about parking issues but had no problems arrived after 4pm and only had to pay 10p for 2 hours, put another 10p next morning before 8 for another 2 hours! All in all not a bad hotel if you are fit enough to climb one flight of stairs as lift does not go down to street level. |

we arrived quite late from an overseas holiday to be met by a cheerful young man, great! 2 or 3 downsides - had to ask for free bottle of wine as advertised, television in room only had one channel, were told someone would come and check it out within 10 minutes - still waiting. informed reception in morning but didn't really get the impression that they were particulary bothered. bed cover was covered in stains and sheets had holes in them. Would i reccomend this hotel to my friends - i dont think so. we had just retuned from a weeks holiday in croatia where the people bent over backwards to make you feel welcome. if i came in from overseas to this i think i'd want to go back home. |
