I booked a twin room to share with a friend. On arrival at the hotel, we were told that there was no hot water available in the en-suite facilities and that if we wanted to shower we would have to walk to the swimming pool. We were also told that my booking had been entered into the system incorrectly and that there were only double rooms available. After some deliberation that the staff offered us two rooms at no extra cost. Unfortunately, these two mistakes rather marred our stay at the hotel, which otherwise is good value for money. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious if a little dated and the breakfast very good. |

Evening meals satisfactory - not the best but had worse. Probably not value for money in comparison to the cost and what else was available in the area. Room was basic but considering tariff was £40 per night - no quarrels there! |

Hotel was very well situated close to both the railway station and the city centre ( 10 to 15 min walk to city centre ) but was quiet enough on a night. The staff were very polite and helpful, breakfast was also very nice. Hotel receiption had 24 hour security. |

the hotel was easy to find, not to far from the centre of york, bus stop outside hotel so never used the car. The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms very good, the food was very good, there was a problem with the boiler when we stayed but the staff had everthing organised and it did not cause any major problems. I would definately stay there again and recommend it to others. |
