Exceptionally clean and owner very friendly. Rooms very basic and small, alittle on the dark side too especially the back rooms. About 10 minutes walk to the sea front and a good half an hour walk to the pleasure beach. Hotel was quiet at night. No parking outside hotel. Owner recommended nearby multistory which cost approx £10 for 24 hours secure parking (Multistory closed at 21.30 each night). |

This cosy hotel is a stone's throw from the coach park and in a central area close to North Pier, shops, bars and clubs. The owners of the hotel were most welcoming and happy to give directions to local attractions and make recommendations of places to go to ensure you enjoy your stay. They offer a good breakfast to start the day, although 8.30 might be a bit early for the all-nighters, and supply you with tea and coffee facilities daily (the fruit biscuits are a treat at the end of the day spent shopping or getting drenched on the water rides at Pleasure Beach). We had a wonderful short break and enjoyed a 'home from home' experience during our stay at The Valentine and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and warmth of our hosts. Good value for money and excellent hospitality. |
