Novotel Cardiff Centre

Novotel Cardiff Centre is a New Generation Novotel so you’ll enjoy a fresh new element of design during your stay. Although the building retains many of its Victorian features, public areas are stylish and contemporary, created from wood, stone and richly coloured furnishings.
All have air conditioning and are furnished with double beds, a sofa-bed or armchair and a unique pivot desk for working or dining. Satellite TV, radio and pay movies are standard, as is internet access with modem point, plus WiFi in some rooms. Bathrooms in Executive rooms and Suite feature a bath with hand-held shower and a separate shower unit.
We are a 10-minute walk from the train station. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town’s Victorian shopping arcades and also many leisure attractions including: Cardiff Bay, St David’s and Capitol shopping centres, Cardiff Castle, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff international arena or the Wales millennium centre.

Good location between Cardiff Bay and City Centre. Stayed with young daughter who enjoyed the lifts and the swimming pool. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet with quality and range of items (well worth including in our room package). Restaurant was very quiet and not cheap but very convenient and reasoable atmosphere.

The Novotel in Cardiff was a great place to stay for a weekend. The facilities were good, as was the decor and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was very good and was available until much later than in most other places I've stayed. The only thing thta really let it down was the food ordered via room service. The wait wasn't long but the food wasn't great. Overpriced for what you got and it was fairly cold.
But over all I would recommend this hotel to a friend andwould definately stay at a Novatel again.

This is a pleasant hotel situated within walking distance of both the city centre and Cardiff Bay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable. Overall, we found our stay to be an enjoyable experience and good value for money at the price we paid through laterooms.com. The hotel provides a swimming pool and sauna, which unfortunately we did not have time to use.
The minor, and I stress the 'minor', negative points were the £5 per day charge for use of their car park by guests, extortionate bar prices (£6.10 for a glass of wine), and the awful (this is subjective, you may like it) and intrusive music played during breakfast!

Room service food arrived uncovered and cold. Replacement arrived warm but still uncovered. Breakfast was fine.
