The Waterloo Hotel - A Folio Hotel

The hotel is an excellent business venue as well as an ideal base for exploring Berkshire, the Thames Valley and London.Originally built in 1860, this elegant Victorian building has been totally refurbished and feature contemporary designs.It is situated in the village of Crowthorne, very close to Bracknell, but also a short distance from LEGOLAND local beauty spots and country walks, such as Windsor and Ascot. There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere in Copenhagen's Brasserie and Arthur's Bar - a great place to spend an evening.
HOTEL REFURBISHMENT:
Please be advised of the following refurbishments affecting hotel services:-
2nd - 14 June 2007 - Refurbishment of Arthurs Bar. A tempoary Bar will be in situ during period of closure.
18th - 29th June 2007 - Refurbishment of Copenhagen's Brasserie, Brasseries will be relocated during closure.
2nd - 13th July 2007 - All public areas including Front desk will be undergoing refurbishment. Minimal disruption to guests, works will be carried out during day hours.

The hotel was easy to find and the staff very he;pful. Breakfast was good value, Dinner was over priced, stupidly we booked a table at the restaurant without looking at the menu. Overall an excellent hotel.

Hotel easy to find. Reception very friendly and professional. Room cramped and dark. Beer flat. The Breakfast was a great disappointment. The items varied between tepid and very tepid. Stayed 3 nights, ate only half the first breakfast. Did not eat Dinner at the hotel either after that experience. The staff acted in a most friendly manner.

A very comfortable hotel furnished to a high standard, slightly let down by the fact that they were experiencing huge problems with door locks when I arrived and couldn't get me into my room! After waiting 45 minutes, I was eventually offered an alternative single room which was fine - but I did have to prompt them to reduce the room rate when I checked out. Full marks to one of the female duty managers who managed to remain cheerful and calm throughout!

Breakfast was one price even if you wanted one slice of toast unless booked previously online and I was not told this. The hotel staff thought it was excessive. However, service friendly and pleasant.
Door of the room did not close automatically - it needed an extra pull to lock it.
