Grosvenor Hotel

The accomodation, staff and food were all first class. There was a strange odour on entering the bedroom but after a few minutes it was not noticed.

Lovely hotel staff helpful and friendly.the pool,suana etc looked very good.we had to ask to move rooms as the one we were booked into was on the front of the hotel which apart from needing some updating was noisy with traffic passing by frequently.have to say the second room we were very happy with. It was very much bigger and more modern and clean.breakfast was quite ok buffet style so eat as much or as little as you want.overall a good place to stay

Second stay here. Rooms are huge and very comfy. In a great location. Breakfast was a little disappointing as we had to wait some time before we were seated and there only seemed to be 1 waitress on., which was difficult when we wanted more tea, plus there was no milk on the table so we had to fill a cup from the buffet table as the poor waitress was nowhere to be seen. Room was dark so could have done with stronger lighting perhaps. Staff very nice and generally it was a pleasant stay. Would stay again.

Breakfast was good...tho service a little stretched when hotel became busy...indoor pool not opened on time both days...sweet wrapper and broken plant pot was left both days next to pool . Evening meal over cooked. Bed comfy. Ample parking. Close to sea front. Decor looking a little tired and garden could ve done with some tlc. Receptionists/staff did their jobs, but some didn't give us the feeling we were very welcome. Bit surprised that we had to pay in full on arrival. Overall 6½/10

The hotel was very seventies but was reasonably clean. However saying that in the hallway the outside ivy was growing through the window and was attached to the wall paper. We arrived at the hotel at 1.15 but was not allowed in our room until after 2.00 the receptionist did not even check to see if the room was ready and we was not offered anywhere to put our luggage. I would not stay at this hotel again it was certainly not worth the money even at the discounted rates at no point in our stay was we asked if our room or everything was alright and they charged my credit card before we actually stayed the night may be they are used to unhappy customers!
