Value for money takes on a whole new meaning when you stay at this hotel - my visit was in November, so the rate will be lower than peak-season. That said I've stayed in far worse hotels and paid much more for them! The Brackenrigg Inn has to have one of the best views, overlooking Ullswater and surrounding hills, beautiful. |

The hotel commands a fine position looking down on Ullswater .The Stables Suite that I occupied was very nicely furbished but the lighting in the lounge area could be improved as it was either dark or extremely bright . |

Stayed for two nights with a 3yr old and 6mth old. Booked superior family room in the Inn, so we could enjoy a nice meal in the evening. Ended up with a suite in the old stables - the distance preventing our baby monitor from working properly, spoilt an otherwise superb meal. Although the extra space was nice, the carpets in the suite were quite dirty, maybe due to them allowing dogs and not suitable for a little one to crawl around on. |
