One of the oldest hotels in the center of Brecon town. The Wellington boasts 19 en-suite rooms with plasma TVs, internet connection and tea & coffee making facilites in all rooms. We have a large dining area and a menu to suit all tastes. Enjoy a more relaxed atmophere in our sofa clad bar area and sample one of our Brains Beers or choose from a selection of fine wines! Please note that we operate a non- smoking policy throughout our hotel including all rooms.

Hotel was good, vey relaxing, comfortable and good food. Nice large bedroom. One small problem is parking in Brecon. No Hotel parking. Only 5 mins walk to Car Park £2.20 for a 4pm to 8am stay, so at least it gets the blood going with the small walk. It did not worry me.

The stay was not good value for money, i have had nicer B&B's for much less. Room was on a slope, hot water tap did not work at first and the shower did not work at all.

On the first night we arrived late and sat in the bar drinking but with no warning the bar had closed and the staff went round turning the lights. we were told we could stay where we were but in the dark and after we had gone upstairs so the alarm could be put on.

Staff were inconsistent in delivery of service, but overall the facilities are welcoming and conveniently situated.
