Location isn't the best if you want to do anything that involves taxi's however if you dont mind a little drive its not far from either Thirsk or York. Friday night was very quiet, there was a wedding reception on the saturday which was for the most part not noticed. Really enjoyable, good faciliities, rooms fine, nice breakfast - would definately go again.

We used this hotel for a weekend visit to york, it is very easy to get to the park and ride as it is a very straight forward journey to get there from the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the facilities. The rooms are located in wings away from the main building so if there are any parties on you don't hear the noise.
The location is very peaceful and has it's own grounds so it would be nice in the summer months as there are paths to stroll around and outside seating areas.
The restuarant and food was excellent we had the fixed price menu and found it to be good value. It is nice to have a good restuarant so you don't have to bother trying to find somewhere to eat and you can forget about having to drive. The breakfast was lovely as well
We would definitely reccommend this hotel to friends and relatives.

The rooms are fairly basic in a Travel lodge type style but for the money we paid I was overjoyed at the accommodation. A good bar, restaurant and location.

I booked last minute, so got a good rate, but was a bit disappointed on arrival ,as from the photograph on The Late Rooms website, I thought I would be staying in an olde worlde type of hotel. Instead, I felt as though I was staying in a Travel Lodge. The extension to the hotel is totally out of character with the rest of the surroundings, however, the rooms were clean and the staff helpful.
