Directions to Ayrshire and Galloway Hotel
The hotel is the ideal venue as it is close to airport; Glasgow Prestwick Airport is only 11 minutes away with regular flights to and from Amsterdam, Bournemouth, Brussels, Budapest, Dublin, Frankfurt, London and Rome; rail and bus links from Glasgow, Edinburgh and further a field. It is also easily accessible and only approximately 50 minutes from Glasgow via the new M77 motorway which feeds traffic from all areas surrounding Ayr. Follow the A77 till the Whitletts roundabout and follow signs for town centre. We are situated in the heart of Ayr town centre.Troon harbour is 12 minutes away with ferries running to and from Ireland. We are a 1 minute walk from Ayr Railway station. We have a small private car park for our guests use. When it is full there are many NCP carparks within easy distance of our hotel.

The hotel rooms were basic (not like ones shown in photos) but they were clean. 2 nights we came back to the hotel to find strong cigarette smoke coming through the vents in our bathroom, not good for me being asthmatic and having a young child in the room, we did mention to reception but no explanation was given; |

good room, good food, very central locatio for the whole of Ayr, finding the carpark was a challenge as its on a one way street, however you get to explore the city by looking for the right road (perhaps I should have studied the map better). Would stay agian if i need to visit Ayr. |
