The ad for this place should tell you that unless you book in before 5pm and collect the keys you will be charged £20 for a courier firm to deliver the keys to you. The office to collect keys is about a mile away from the apartment. On checkout you must return the keys before 11am - or risk another £20 fine. This means checkout is effectively 10am. This place is not good enough or cheap enough for all this hassle. The Base operate for their own convenience not yours. DON'T BOTHER - this is too much hassle. |

The apartment I stayed in was ideally located near local restaurants and the university which is what I requested. I received exceptional service from the reservation department from the minute I booked. The office was located a short taxi drive away but I was informed of this prior to arrival and so it wasn’t a problem. |

Very very basic apartment. Cheap wooden slated bed. Main head to foot support was broken in half and bed creaked with the slightest movement. Thinest matress ever could feel every spring. No curtains was woken by daylight at 5 in morning. Plus a lot of noise from slip road onto main road outside window. Curtains would have helped this a lot. No bedside lights. No microwave. No iron. No dishcloth to wipe up in kitchen. No toilet brush. No table or chairs to eat at. All other places I've stayed have had the basics of cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, tea bags, coffee, cooking oil, salt, etc. All walls were white and bare not one single picture which made it seem very cold not very homely at all. Must be owned by a man!! |
