Whether you need to book a hotel at short notice, create your own stay or indulge in an enticing spa, theatre or luxury package, here’s how more than 3,000 hotels, inns, apartments and guest houses can help you to plan your miniBreak:

  • Book online or by telephone securing your booking by credit or debit card and we’ll guarantee your reservation,
  • The accommodation prices we charge are for the room, not per person
  • miniBreaks does not charge a booking fee or cancellation fee
  • You’ll receive instant confirmation by e-mail
  • Depending on the hotels policy, it will be clearly stated whether you will pay the total price to the hotel on departure or at the time the reservation is made
  • miniBreaks does not charge a cancellation fee. Each hotel will have its own cancellation policy which you can find on the hotels details page.

Q: Why should I book my hotel with miniBreaks?

A: miniBreaks has enabled a large number of independent hotels, chains and guesthouses to publish their best on-line rates, breaks and packages. You have the opportunity to browse over 3,000 properties comparing rates and availability. Flexible booking with miniBreaks means you can book in advance or on the day of your stay, online or by telephone.


Q: How do I make a search?

A: There are several ways to find the accommodation of your choice. Either choose by country, region or location or if you require a particular feature, narrow your search by using the Advanced Search facility.
If you are still unsure where to go, click on the Map Search and let miniBreaks show you where we have properties located.


Q: Am I charged a booking fee?

A: No, the miniBreaks service is completely free to use.


Q: Is there a difference if I book through the call centre?

A: No. Booking on-line is the most efficient route to make a reservation. Telephoning one of our agents is the quickest way should you have additional questions. The only charge is the cost of a local call.

Q: How do I know it is safe to book online?

A: Using your credit card to reserve your room online is 100% secure. miniBreaks use the most up-to-date Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology which encrypts any information you enter and is certified by Thawte.

Q: Do I pay miniBreaks or the hotel?

A: Depending on the policy the hotel has chosen, payments may be made at the time of booking or settled on departure when you check-out. Their individual cancellation policy will inform you whether a deposit will be taken prior to your stay, however many hotels featured on the miniBreaks website do not require you to pay until you check-out on your departure date.


Q: Why does miniBreaks need my credit or debit card details?

A: Unless the hotel policy states that payment is taken at the time of reservation, miniBreaks does not charge your card. The payment details are securely shared with the hotel to confirm the reservation guaranteeing your stay.


Q: Why do prices change on different dates?

A: It is in the interest of hotels to offer miniBreaks their best prices. Hotels may vary their prices depending on their occupancy levels which results in different rates for different dates. There are no hidden costs, all prices already include service and tax.


Q: If I have very specific needs isn’t it easier to contact the hotel directly?

Q: If I change my mind can I cancel or amend my booking?

A: Bookings may be cancelled or amended. Depending on the hotel policy, cancellations or modifications may incur a charge or change in the price you pay. You will find the cancellation policy for each hotel prior to confirming your booking details.


Q: What should I expect when dinner is included in the rate?

A: The hotel will provide a clear description with regard to the inclusive dinner price. This allowance may also be used to contribute towards additional menu items should they apply, agreed with the hotel.
Please advise of any special dietary requirements when you make the reservation.


Q: What’s the difference between stars and diamonds?
