Arrived at 23:30 to be greeted by name!! Staff were excellent. Old type hotel, tried to be updated, but still looking old. Windows old sash with additional slide glazing. Room/ bathroom clean with a good bed. Had continental breakfast, but could not find the fruit basket. Plenty of others tucking into the cooked breakfast though. |

Arrival was swift and efficient however, that's where it ended. The breakfast was basic, cold, hard and the toast was sad - to say the least. When asked to exchange it, you would think I had asked the clock to be turned back! At least the 2nd attempt was warmer and the toast slightly crispier. |

the breakfast was disgusting! the fried egg looked liked it had been dropped into a deep fat fryer at 300 degrees! bubbles everywhere, the bacon looked like a monkeys ear, and the beans were pale. apart from that it was a nice hotel. |
