Golden Rooms Spanish Steps

The room was small, cramped & oddly designed. The shower was the ensuite with no toilet, which was accessed by going outside the room. Overall, it was very expensive for what it was.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the hotel room. There was barely any room at all, once the bed was in there was a small gap all the way round.
The bathroom consistently smelled like sewerage and there was no wi-fi as advertised.
The pictures put up on the website did not at all represent the room we eventually received in my opinion.
The only positive comment about the hotel room was its convienient location.

We called the "key handler" information to verify the room the day before. The person was no longer employed with this room service and wasn't so happy that we were calling. He gave us another number to call and the telephone number that was on our reservation form had been disconnected. The new number was a cell phone that was turned off and only accepted voice mails. Finally, after two hours, we were able to contact someone. He was timely and met us to give us the keys the following day. The room was fairly clean and we thought it would turn out ok.
Problems occurred after this fact. We flushed the toilet and the room smelled like sewer the remaining time. Then when we went to shower, we discovered that the shower head seal was broken and sprayed all over the bathroom. The shower doors didn't seal very well, therefore there ended up being two inches of standing water on the floor. The room was so small. The entire experience wasn't so wonderful. If it wasn't for the sights of the city.....we would have been extremely upset. We do not recommend this room.

Its a room rather than a hotel, but once you get in , a lovely space, good cooking facitiles too and lovely view.
