Pride of Lincoln - A Good Night Inn

Arrived around 6pm with no staff to be seen. Reception covered in papers and litter. I was then told that booking was not received from Laterooms until I showed my printed confirmation. Staff member gave me my room key. Got in to room to find no bed and a table in the middle of the room with dirty cups all over it. My collegaues room had a bed but bags of rubbish left on the side and bed looked like it hadn't been made. I complained and was upgraded to better suite, which had no heating and was freezing. Came down in morning to be told that no breakfast had been prepared as we hadn't asked for it. I will never return here and I travel to Lincoln quite a lot.

On arrival I waited for 10 minutes before having to go to the pub attatched to the hotel to find a member of staff to check in. \We then went out to the ball we were attending to come back and find the hotel door was locked. No-one informed us that the door would be locked or that our room key fitted the front door so we were stranded outside for half an hour before ringing a sleepy hotel employee to resolve the problem.

The hotel was fine apart from the fact that they had no record of my booking whatsoever. I don't know if this was the fault of Laterooms or the hotel itself. We were just lucky that they had some free rooms. It just caused unnecessary stress.
