only had breakfast which was full english an fine. However it was very hot and air con would be an advantage. I had to sleep with the windows open and was kept awake by the noise of seagull squawking all night. The restuarant is very small and to hot to stay and eat in, also doubles as part of the reception. Changes should be made to the entrance which would give a lot of extra space at a very modest cost as the alteration are simple. I am a bulider and know how easy it would be. |

Having stayed at the Gulliver's Next door and knowing that this hotel is owned by the same people I decided to to book at the New Steine. I was greeted very nicely and taken up to my room. The room had to much furniture for a little space. The bed made this awful noise when you moved I dare not move. The room was to bland no nice pictures on the wall (like on the website). I stayed 2 nights, sleeped the first night, the second night the room above me was rented out from my observations to a group of men who decided at 2pm to have a boxing match. I heard every word, every bang, and at one point thought they were going to come through the ceiling. They brought the party outside, where you heard cars running and yelling for a further 15minutes. This is not the hotels fault, but I don't think I was the only one who couldn't sleep. I can't complain about customer service, the staff could not do enough for me. But I think when im in brighton next I will be staying at the sister hotel the Gullivers. |
