Very pleasant couple run the hotel and we were made to feel welcome. The location is good, for a walk down into the centre, and quiet (being off the main road). Slightly bemused by the use of a louvred door to the en-suite however(room 8). |

The hotel is tucked away off the main road, so is very quiet. We were in a room at the "top of the house", there was no lift so wouldnt suit anyone with disabilities or difficulties in climbing stairs etc as the stairs were very steep. The welsh owner Jason and his wife Teresa were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is towards the top end of Babbacombe Road, so its extremely hilly all around, ok if you like walking or need the exercise. The room was adequate, exactly what you expect from the B&B facilities in Torquay. The breakfast was excellent - even with black pud (midland delicacy) which you dont often find in most places. Would definitely go there again before we need our zimmer frames! |
