Lovely hotel - very welcoming, warm atmosphere, v professional staff. They also accept dogs, quite a few stretched out by the log fires after a long walk! A real retreat and thoroughly enjoyable, especially the lovely spa. Room had a few cobwebs but nothing to really worry about. We'll definitely be back. Pub down the road does OK food if you don't fancy eating in the (quite expensive) restaurant. |

A beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a lovely spa that meant we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. An added bonus to be near the beach/coast too. |

I had a really wonderful relaxing stay. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. They were even nice to my dog, you would think it was the last place a dog would be allowed to stay as it was so clean and tidy. Food was expensive but so delicious it was worth every penny. |

We had a fabulous 2 night stay here at a very favourable rate through Laterooms when compared to the hotel's own website. We couldn't fault the level of service or quality of the hotel - our only criticism however was that the food was considerably over priced. At £46.50 for a three course meal, we felt it was worth at least £10 less. A fairly standard NZ wine was also £30 a bottle. While the quality of the food was very good, the portions were very small - of the decorated plated variety - and there were no vegetables or accompaniments provided. Coffee and petits fours was £4.50 a head too which was very steep for four pieces of fudge and a cafetiere! |
