I sent this message by email to you immediately after our trip and I still haven't received a reply:
We have just got back from Manchester where we stayed in 2 of your apartments.
I am writing to you to let you know that we were really disappointed in the quality of the apartment. I think that they were extremely over priced for what we had.
To begin with there was no parking close to the hotel. I don't mind paying extra for parking, like we had to, but I would expect you to have informed us if the closest open car park was so far away. We had 3 cars between 8 of us and it cost us £12 each to park overnight, but we had to get taxis from the car park to the hotel so that we could carry all our stuff.

When we arrived, one of the 2 bed apartments was clearly not suitable for 4 adults as specified. The sofa bed was only a sofa NOT a bed, there were only 2 towels, 3 glasses etc.

The same was true for the other apartment although their sofa bed was actually a bed. However, they had no mirror in the room at all, apart from 2 broken pieces on the floor.

The quality of the apatments were not up to scratch. Door handles hanging off, marks and stains on the floor, curtains hanging, no lamp shades in the ceiling lights, no ironing board as stated amonst other things. Also there were no covers for the spare quilt and pillow in the wardrobe.

All in all the experience was not a relaxing one as it should have been. The location of the hotel with regard to reaching town was fine and we are not complaining at all about that it's just that I think we had a really bad experience with you and a few things should be changed before you send anyone else there.

I am not happy at having paid so much money for what we received and I would be extremely grateful if you could consider refunding part of the cost as a gesture of goodwill.

The apartment was ok, could have been cleaner. It was advertised as having tea/coffee supplied, but was very disappointed to only find empty boxes!!! There were no toiletries. The apartment was meant to sleep six people, but as we only had 5 in our party we were giving an apartment with two double bedrooms and a single mattress thrown on the lounge floor!!!

This appartment was ideal for our stay. 6 of us going to the MEN arena which was a 5 minute walk away. The location of this appeartment is spot on for shops and nightlife as well. The only negative comment would be that the decor and furniture was not really that nice and resembled that from student digs...old scraggy curtains hanging off rails, a very uncomfortable bed in the master bedroom and a toilet that didnt flush in the ensuite!! Not really what you would expect when staying in a new 4 star city centre appartment.

Original booking for Quebec street apts - the apt condition was terrible - wardrobe door propped up, stained carpets, poor bedlinen on bare matress, the communal corridor smelt of cigarette smoke. There was a problem with the cleaner meaning that there was litter, food in cupboards, wet washing in machine and dirty pants in the drawer.
The staff apologised and moved us on request, immediately. Although the problems with the cleaner was one of those things, the overall condition of the apt was very poor. (Think student digs)
We were moved to Beaumont building which was better, the communal areas were lovely and location excellent. But apartment still had bare lightbulbs, poor quality bedlinen (no mattress or pillow protectors either) no extractor fan in an internal bathroom so smelt damp. Tea and coffee sachets were provided, but no milk.
Overall the staff were helpful, friendly and very good, but the apts need some attention.
