The hotel is well positioned for a short break in the Cotswolds. The staff were very attentive and friendly, our room was spacious and well equipped. The only minor point I would make is that the evening menu does not not cater for anyone only wanting a bar snack rather than a restaurant meal. The quality of the food and presentation was excellent. |

Sadly, we required a quiet, peaceful, relaxing hotel to wind down after 40 hours of jet lag. Lugging international amounts of luggage to the top floor of the hotel was dismaying and exhausting. The minimalist furniture made it awkward to sort ourselves out, or to place items on useful surfaces. The road noise was horrendous. It was a poor reflection on the housekeeping that we had to report a wardrobe door almost off it's hinges and in need of urgent repair and the lack of anywhere to hang a towel when using the washbasin as the towel hook/ring had also come off the wall. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and pleasant but mentioning our concerns as we checked out was met with a total lack of concern or any interest. The hotel is a trendy looking venue but very awkward for us to use. |

Excellent food - best 'Inn' food I've had, very helpful staff, nice layout/decor/ambience/clientele. To be picky, on main A road so noisy at front if you're a light sleeper, not a wide choice of beers, and my room was smallish (nowhere to work really but sat outside in rear courtyard which was fine) and wardrobe-sized bathroom, but none of this detracted from the experience really. |

This is one of the best small hotels I have stayed in within the UK. Really nice room with verh good quality bedding and pillows and a great power shower. Excellent breakfast. Lovely bistro style restaurant with a wide choice of dishes - with everything prepared and cooked to perfection. They obviously have a very well trained chef. They also have an excellent value limited choice set menu - 3 courses for £15 was excellent value - whitebait for starters, seabass, then a really unusual selection of ice-creams. Best of all - the very friendly service - nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. |
