Gateway Lodge

Gateway Lodge provides 3 star family-run guest accommodation. We are situated less than 1 mile from Liverpool John Lennon Airport which is a leisurely 10 minute walk or 2 minutes by car. All rooms are clean and comfortably furnished and have fully tiled en-suite shower or bath rooms. All rooms have a 23 inch flat screen colour TV with numerous digital free view channels. Tea and coffee making facilities and WiFi available in all rooms free of charge. We also have a small licensed bar where you can enjoy a relaxing drink before retiring for a comfortable night’s sleep. Why not treat yourself to a delicious full English breakfast that can be booked for only £6pp (served from 7.30 to 9am). We also have limited off road secure parking, for a small fee, should you wish to leave your vehicle (note; early booking is advisable and vehicle and contents are left entirely at the owners risk). Our aim is to ensure that you have a quality stay. As we largely cater for the traveller we regret that we are not suitable for small stag or hen parties unless all 9 rooms are reserved. For the comfort and safety of all our guests we fully support and enforce the no smoking law within the building, especially within the bedrooms.

From the M62 TOWARDS Liverpool. Exit junction 6, A5300 (Knowsley expressway) signposted for the Airport and S.Liverpool At the end of the A5300 turn right at the roundabout towards the Airport A561. Continue to follow signs for the Airport. Turn left at the traffic lights sign posted towards the Airport. At the rounabout continue left towards the Airport. We are the next Road on the left and about 100 metres on the left.

v clean comfortable room and friendly service, only two minutes from the airport and handy to bus stops into the city centre

We were only here for 6 hours, en route from a wedding in Ormskirk to Liverpool airport the next morning. The lady who greeted us was friendly and cheerful even though it was nearly midnight, the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Great value for money and only 2 mins from the airport in a taxi.

To reach the hotel you have to take a taxi from the airport (£2.50) or the Airlink bus n°500 from Lime Street Station to the Airport (£2.60) and then a taxi. The hotel is very pratical if you have to fly early in the morning or if you arrive late in the evening. However, I think that money for value for this hotel is not so good: it is too expensive compared services that offers and the location.

We arrived at this hotel late (after 11pm) where we were met with a cup of tea and a nice chat, which was amazing after a 3 hour train trip from edinburgh). The couple were very nice and were very helpful with advice for our trip the next day. They were very understanding with our early checkout the next morning (at 5.30am). So all in all this is the PERFECT place to stay if you need to catch an early flight from John Lennons airport, or if you were returning late. Excellent start to our break.
