Service was very good and breakfast quality excellent, but, the room was very small, the bunk beds for the kids moved around and squeeked, the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. We had very little sleep. |

Me and my sister stayed at the Clarence Hotel for 3 nights. On arrival we received a lovely welcome from the owners, we felt welcome right away. |

Our stay at the Clarence Gardens was fantastic, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent although we did tend to eat out when visiting Whitby and other areas - the fish and chips are to die for!! The room was fine, basic but adequate with ensuite shower and a great sea vie and was cleaned every day. We would definately stay again, in fact we are looking to go back in the spring with our kids and family as I know that they will enjoy it as much as we did. I checked the reviews of this hotel before booking and cannot understand some peoples comments, there is just no pleasing some people - if you want 5 star treatment, then stay in a 5 star hotel. We score 10 out of 10 for the Clarence Gardens, well done. |
