Luxury apartment on 2 floors with stunning views, nestling at the bottom of Arthur’s Seat. A short stroll brings you to the start of the hill walk which at the top gives spectacular views across the palace, castle and city.
The city centre and Princess Street shops are 20 minutes walk or a short bus ride away.
The apartment is very bright and warm. It consists of lounge; dining room; 3 bedrooms (1 with queen size bed +ensuite shower room; 1 with queen sized bed; 1 with twin beds which can be linked together +small single futon bed; bathroom (bath & shower); luxury fitted kitchen (with breakfast bar, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, large fridge-freezer).
Full gas central heating.
TV with Teletext. Radio alarm clock.
Car parking space at the door (No 11).
A Sainsbury store is nearby.

Travelling Directions for 82/5 Spring Gardens, Edinburgh EH8 8HX (a) By Car from the South and from the southern Bypass (A 720): (1) follow the A1 in the direction of the City Centre (2) at the roundabout where the dual carriageway becomes a single road, turn left into Milton Road, which eventually becomes Willowbrae Rd (still signposted A1 & City Centre) (3) at the Y junction with Portobello Road (Jock’s Lodge) = turn left onto London Road (4) after 0.23 miles fork left at traffic lights into Meadowbank Terrace (you can see Meadowbank Sports Stadium on the right side from the traffic lights) (5) after 0.11 miles, turn right onto Royal Park Terrace - this becomes Spring Gardens (6) the flat is in the first modern development on the left side - turn left off Spring Gardens, left again into the car park and then 2nd left - the door facing you is the entrance to the flat. Please park in space no 11 (which is the middle on the left side as you face the flat) (b) By Car from the City Centre: (1) From the roundabout at the John Lewis store (at the junction of Leith Street & York Place) go down Leith Walk for 100 metres. (2) At the next roundabout turn right into London Road (3) Go through the next big traffic lights at Easter Road (4) Go through the next set of traffic lights where Montrose Terrace joins at an angle from the right (5) Soon after, turn 1st right into Abbey Lane, go down the hill to the T junction and then turn left into Spring Gardens (6) Go under the railway bridge , past the few shops on the right and then turn right into the modern development (7) Turn left into the car park and then 2nd left - the door facing you is the entrance to the flat. Please park in space no 11 (which is the middle on the left side as you face the flat) (b) From Waverly Station: either - 10 minutes by taxi - tell the driver that the flat is beside the Elsie Inglis nursing home - Bus numbers 4, 15, 15A, 19, 26, 34 & 44, from Princes Street to Abbeyhill (c) From Edinburgh Airport - either taxi the whole way (30-40 minutes, may be expensive) or take the frequent bus service to the centre of Edinburgh and then take a taxi or local bus NB the Yale key opens the outside door; the mortice key opens the flat door on the 3rd floor.

Very good value for money, though a little further out from city centre than expected. There was a shortcut but the route was not very well explained. Excellent facilities in the apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms, all spotless.

A very nice appartment on the 3rd fllor of a small residential set of flats. About 1 mile uphill , all downhill on the way back from the very centre of Edinburgh, Arthurs seat and a fantastic area immediately outside. Local shops such as sainsubrys just a 5 minute drive away.
The owner was away and the only thing I did not like was finding keys hidden, and once found the keys were a very basic lock and I am sure that I have a very similar key pattern on my basic gagarge lock. Apart from that fautless.
