The Grange Country Guest House

Manor Brow, Keswick

The Grange provides fine quality bed and breakfast accommodation in the lovely market town of Keswick in the English Lake District. An area of breathtaking views, serene lakes, wonderful walks and historic towns and villages.
Originally a magnificent private residence. This Victorian house, with lovely garden, was built in 1850 and provides quality accommodation, with en-suite facilities. Many original features have been retained in the rooms.
All our bedrooms are en suite and most have lovely views of the surrounding fells.
Keswick, with the River Greta, flowing though its centre, provides a superb range of facilities for visitors with its award winning theatre, access to walks around the lake, two lovely parks and lots of superb cafes and restaurants, providing everything from the perfect espresso to full gastronomic menus and a good range of vegetarian, wholefood and ethnic choices too.
The Grange is an ideal choice for you whether you are coming for an active adventure break or a quiet, relaxing sojourn. We look forward to welcoming you.

I was made to "feel at home" on arrival. The breakfast service was excellent, I particularly liked the novel idea of going to the table with a marker having the number which matched the number of the room where I was staying in. The magnificent view of the Lakeland fells from the room made my day!
I recommend this place to anyone and will do so when I meet my friends who are keen on fell-walking. many many thanks.

As other reviews have stated, the hotel is a little out of town, up a steep hill but the whole experience of staying here makes up for the walk back from town.
The rooms are well furnished/finished, if a little small, and the hotel is perfect for a couple after a bit of peace and quiet. The staff here are wonderful and go out of their way to say hello and enquire about your day. It is the staff that really set this place apart and I saw many guests chatting and laughing with them.
Breakfast is varied and there is something to suit all tastes. The kitchen also seemed quite accomodating with guest requests and nothing seemed too much trouble. The staff also remembered what juice each of us liked, what toast we requested and what our tea/coffee choice was. It is these little details that really made our experience here stand out. Recommended!
