APARTHOTEL CALEDONIA GOLF RESORT & SPA

Parking is very restricted, and a large prortion was reserved for a function, on the one evening we stayed there. You can park on the road outside, but I was concerned about the safety of my car there - there was a lot of glass around. I got called at 1am to move my car from the hotel grounds - it was not blocking anyware, but was parked on their yellow lines. At that time of the day, I did feel like driving it into reception (yes it is very large) and parking it there!!
We had a family room adequate for 3 people.

My boyfriend and I did in fact have a wonderful stay. The facility was great, as well as the service. Not to mention that we saved alot of money by staying 5min away from our original destination of Marbella where rooms are 5 times more. We got all the same amenities, plus our own kitchen and balcony. Lovely! We will definately stay there again when we go back.

this hotel might have suited us 20 years ago but not now. The public rooms like reception were large, airy and elegant and families seemed to like it. The "apartment" was quite basic, bathroom was nice though tatty. No kettle, so had to microwave coffee....rip off parking in the basement 7 euros per day, had read that one should watch out on the outside of hotel as 50 euro fines were made ! Breakfast was adequate, though noisy as full of children. Not remembered as a place to go back to - we dined out of the hotel, found a beach bar called "heaven" where we had a great paella, and unlike us found a Chinese restaurant - yes I know in Spain - but it was cracking!!! The road to the hotel is like a village dumping ground, and one might be impressed to see it was the same road as the Ritz Carleton but perhaps might be finished in a hundred years...unless you like cheap and chearful, I would not stay again. Last point, despite the hotel having a "spa", you got one pre=bopokable visit, then were charged 15 euros each per hour...again a rip off, as were the dreadful bathing caps they insisted you bought and wore for 6 euros per couple. The area is so built up, to call this Estapona is rediculous, as is Marbella, both being a long way from there....

Hotel was super all around. Staff very friendly. The Spa facilities need to be explained to Hotel residents that it is a separate business from the Hotel. If you use these faciities you cannot add to Hotel billing account you need to pay separately. Also, a swimming cap is needed, of which there are no signs to say this. It would be prudent to have caps available to purchase at the Spa or Hotel Shop. Overall a super place. We would come again.

We were disappointed, that in the hotel´s SPA my daughter (5 years old) was not allowed to go to the sauna and to the bubble-bath. :((( But very good was, that in the breakfast she could have a free icecream :)))
