It was like an aparthotel with breakfast. There were reception staff to assist as well but the best thing was you weren't disturbed. The rooms are fairly basic lay-out and trimmings but if you need anything you just ask the staff and they provide. Our TV only had 2 channels but with everything being in Czech this wasn't a major concern. The location is the real winner. Smack bang next to the river and a great stroll across the bridge in the morning or up the river to where you want to go. The Smichov area is excellent for dining out with many choices for quality restaurants at very reasonable prices. We usually paid 400 crowns (About £12) for 2 mains, and 2 pints of beer. There is also a great cafe near Andel metro called 'Kava, Kava, Kava.' If you spent 60crowns you could get 1hour internet. There are many interesting shops as well in this area. The security also seemed very good. |

First of all it was difficult to find as the name was on a tiny plaque on the wall, I had been looking for a big sign. Secondly, there was only one member of staff who was there from 8ish in the morning untill 6ish in the evening, as a single traveler I did not feel secure knowing there was no member of staff to go to, or a public telephone to use if needed. Apart from that, the beds were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast of cheese, meats , juices, teas, jams, yoghurts, breads was fresh and ample. The rooms had tea making facilities but no milk, so get a supply at breakfast. Overall I would recommend this hotel but not if you are on your own. |

Cheap and Charming are what it says on the cards for this hotel and it lives up to this. A basic hotel that is very clean and has very helpful staff. |
