An ideal hotel for someone who wants peace and quiet in a serene environment. A very personal environment, almost like staying in someone's home. The bedrooms and guest areas are filled with antiques and ornaments bringing a very homely feel to the place. Not a place to go if you have children though. There are stunning views from every window. Was a little disappointed to find that I couldn't use my shower like a normal shower due to it being attached to a roll top bath and could only use it in a sitting down position, but this was overshadowed by the actual quality of the room in general, which was exquisit. We stayed in the Toile room. Next year I will make sure that I ask for the room that I would like by name to make sure that I get the shower I can use as we are not really bath people. Only a couple of miles from Abergavenny, so it was ideal for us for the food festival. |
