We were on foot once friends had brought us by car to the hotel. Not ideally situated -- next to a main road and a mile out of town. But it is very close to a railway station, though the service is very infrequent, but we were able to get back to Leeds and then home to London from there. Otherwise absolutely fine. |

While the bedroom was pleasant enough, the bathroom was tiny and very badly designed with a very cramped toilet and no towel rail. Basic tv without remote control, small wardrobe and wall mirror fitted too low. Mattress fair - not superb. Some noise from central heating pipes. If you arrive when the bar is closed you have to stand outside (in the rain!) and phone up for attention. Bar meals were good, although a little expensive, and breakfast was also good. Breakfast hours are very limited - but that is understandable for a hotel with just 8 rooms. |
